We believe  working very closely with the research community. Research underpins our understanding of all the areas that we operate. Working with the research community has been central to assisting our work in helping to influence best practice standards. Decisions must be made on an informed basis using best information, and also working closely with the research community helps identify where the knowledge- gaps are so that a collective focus can close those gaps. We have extensive experience in working with Lloyd’s on the Lloyd’s Science fo Risk Awards, the European Commission on innovative research projects, Arctic research projects, and research projects that assist in the identification and enforcement of pollution regulation.  We are working on several projects with research institutions in these areas, including experience of funding applications.
